A man’s ringing cellphone resulted in a robber pulling a gun on him during a robbery in Hampden in front of the Fraternal Order of Police Baltimore City lodge.
According to Baltimore police, at 8:25 a.m., April 30, a man was walking in the 3900 block of Buena Vista Avenue when a robber approached him.
The robber demanded the man’s phone and watch. The man handed over his black G Spot watch, but told the robber he didn’t have a cellphone.
The man’s cellphone then rang and the robber pulled out a black handgun and pointed it the man and demanded the phone.
At that point a resident exited the building at 3920 Buena Vista Ave., where the lodge is located, and the robber ran away heading north.
