Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is urging Baltimore residents to light the exterior of their homes and businesses with purple lights to show support for the Ravens playoff push.

Purple lights have already been installed on the War Memorial, the Ravens Logo has been painted on the War Memorial's grass and City Hall will be lit in purple starting Friday, according to a news release.

"Coach Harbaugh, the players, and the entire Ravens organization should be commended for their fifth consecutive trip to the postseason," Rawlings-Blake said in the news release. "This year has an added significance with the announced retirement of Ray Lewis. As he carries the team through the playoffs to the Super Bowl, we must celebrate his Hall of Fame career and how he has helped define Baltimore football for a generation of fans."

The Ravens are set to take on the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium. Baltimore residents still hold a grudge against the Colts, the franchise that fled Charm City in the middle of the night in 1983.
