On Thursday night, the Baltimore Police Department floated the idea of reducing the city’s youth curfew by an hour via their official Twitter account.

"We are thinking about moving the juvenile curfew time to 10pm. Juvenile curfew is currently midnight. What do you think?" the department’s tweet read.

Currently, the city’s curfew rule requires residents 17 years old and under to be off city streets by 11 p.m. on weeknights, and by midnight on weekends.

Juveniles, who are caught out past curfew on Friday and Saturday during the summer, are taken to the Baltimore Summer Curfew Center. Juveniles caught out after curfew by police are held at the center, which is open between midnight and 6 a.m., until a parent or legal guardian picks them up.

What do you think of moving the city’s youth curfew back to 10 at night?  Tell us in the comments.
