Benny Davis, 24, is charged with first-degree murder.

A domestic dispute led to Benny Davis allegedly shooting and killing D’Andre Thomas in Remington earlier this month.

According to Baltimore District Court records, Davis, 24, shot Thomas, 25, twice in the stomach as Thomas tried to leave his home in the 2700 block of Fox Street. Davis came to the house earlier in the day looking for his girlfriend.

Earlier that morning Davis and his girlfriend were in an argument at their apartment in the 900 block of Druid Hill Park Lake Drive. During the argument Davis allegedly punched her in the face. She then left and said she was heading to her "best friends" house, according to documents.

Davis then showed up at Thomas’ door in Remington. Davis demanded to see his girlfriend and Thomas told him that she wasn’t at the residence.

Then at about 9:41 a.m., Davis allegedly returned to Thomas’ house and shot him as he tried to leave.

Baltimore police from the Northern District responded to a call about the shooting and found Thomas lying on the floor between the kitchen and living room, and a woman holding a towel over his wounds.

Officers asked the woman who shot Thomas and she replied "Benny."

Police arrested and charged Davis with the murder—along with several other crimes—the following day.

Davis is currently being held without bail in the Baltimore City Detention Center.

He is scheduled to appear in district court on April 16.
