A Hampdenman is accused of shouting racial slurs and threatening a bank security guard with a knife.
According to Baltimore police, at 4:10 p.m., on March 28, Charles Knott, 18, allegedly walked up to a security guard working outside the Bank of America, in the 900 block of W. 36th Street, and began spitting, throwing food at and shouting racial epithets at the guard.
At one point Knott, of the 3400 block of Buena Vista Avenue, allegedly pulled out a pocketknife and threatened the guard.
"Yeah, come on [epithet], I’m talking to you," Knott shouted according to a police report.
An officer from the Northern District responded to the scene and arrested Knott.
According to electronic court records, Knott faces charges off assault-second degree, race/religious harassment of a person and harassment course of conduct.
Knott has an extensive court record and is also facing assault, weapons and theft charges from earlier this year.
Knott, who is out on bail, is scheduled to appear at 8:30 a.m., April 30 in Baltimore District Court, 5800 Wabash Ave. for the most recent chargers.
